GAe Engineering was founded in Turin in 2009 by Giuseppe Gaspare Amaro based on the desire to amalgamate his vast experiences and varied professional activities in the fields of civil and industrial engineering since the inception of his professional consulting career in 1996.

 

From the start, the company has been focused on Fire design for which the application of fluid dynamics-computational analysis (CFD) methodology is fundamental.  The goal is to develop highly accurate risk forecasts that obtain project approvals by means of derogations, maximum compartment areas and of maximum occupancy load values both of which are higher than those foreseen by the direct application of the prescriptive regulations. The analysis methodology was utilized for Fire Engineering design of the Palazzo Italia for Expo2015 and other countless and prestigious projects ranging from BUC to the MUSE in Trento, from Torre Intesa Sanpaolo to Torre della Regione Piemonte in Turin, from Fondazione Prada to Westfield in Milan.

 

The dynamism of the company and the experience of its founder have made the firm strongly multi-disciplinary in a short time. GAe’s approach to life safety has led to the development of safety management systems, highly reliant on technology and standardization, implemented within the civil and commercial realities of highly complex projects.  The validation of this endeavor is the utilization of these systems within the Porta Nuova Garibaldi District in Milan, and subsequent validation upon winning the prestigious British International Safety Award (ISA) in 2016 and reconfirmed again the following year.

 

The Safety and Security services of GAe Engineering relate to all measures and solutions available aimed at preventing or reducing accidents in the workplace and identifying the best operational strategies for safeguarding security and public safety.  We operate in two distinct environments, one of safety and security in buildings and the other of ensuring spectator Safety and Security during public events.  In both cases, through preventive and targeted risk analysis and site-specific surveys of the areas affected by the demonstrations or interventions, we identify vulnerabilities and plan the safety and security strategy accordingly.

Beginning in 2016, GAe Engineering opened a specialty security sector based the ability to cultivate and manage the best technologies and human resources available, proposing the highest quality and most technically advanced security solutions available to meet the needs of our clients and satisfying regulatory requirements.

 

Since 2017 GAe has been heavily involved in safety aspects of public events due to the Ministry of the Interior’s determination concerning the safety management of major public events. The professionalism and resourcefulness of GAe’s founder, Giuseppe Amaro, has allowed GAe to become the leading company in Italy in the field of event safety management in just a few months.  We utilize a performance engineering approach, focused on egress simulations, site analysis, management and coordination of dedicated personnel, drafting of emergency plans and technical support in all phases of public safety management. GAe was selected to oversee such prestigious events as the Feast of St. John in Turin and the carnivals of Venice and Ivrea. In 2017 GAe was named the safety consultant in charge of all RCS Media Group’s sporting events including the Giro d’Italia, supported by the presence of GAe personnel on the field during the course.

 

The vast experience in all aspects related to safety, from technical to managerial, created the opportunity to include Construction Safety consulting within the company. In this field, GAe Engineering’s reputation as a highly professional organization involves in all phases of safety coordination, from the design phase to construction, offering technical support to the contractors involved assisting in their ability to plan the construction schedule and costs with great accuracy.
